Every IB Economics Prompt on IB Assessments begins with a command term. Understanding these terms help students understand how best to address each prompt. Here is a list of those command terms. We will discuss these more as the course progresses.

IA Criterion Explained

This document provides an explanation to help student better understand the criteria upon which their IA pieces will be assessed. This assessment piece has changes slightly since the previous syllabus, so this document may change should the instructor new and better interpretations of this assessment piece.

IA Samples

The following three samples are from an IA portfolio which received 43 of 45 possible marks which translates into a strong 7. These samples were marked on criterion that were slightly differential than the ones found in the new syllabus, but these still will assist you to better understand how to write your IA pieces.
