Welcome to IB Economics.

Students will use this web-site as the primary platform for most materials related to the completion of this two-year course.

This website is built to support the IB Economic's syllabus which began in 2020. Some resources relavant to this syllabus have not yet been uploaded to this website. This is primarily due to some syllabus-specific material having not yet been created or not yet found. As such, this website will evolve as the course progresses.

This icon indicates students should click on it to complete a worksheet, quiz or written task.

This icon indicates students should click on it to watch a web-based video explaining the material being covered. Most videos, however, will simply be accessed through a thumbnail of the video.

This icon indicates the student can access a Google Document that can be used to create a review document for that topic. Completion of these documents is voluntary and do not accompany all sections of the syllabus.

This icon indicates the student can access a useful website on the world wide web.

This icon indicates the teacher was bored and found either a piece of music or video he thinks is entertaining. These almost never have any relevance to the course content, but oddly they are one of the few things students bring up in class discussions.

This icon indicates the instructor has taken it upon himself to pontificate about something related to the syllabus (or life). These are his opinion only, usually based on years of experience and undertaken using many intellectual shortcuts (including many steps in the scientific method). They are not in any way endorsed by anyone other than himself.

Other Information

Google Classroom: 

Google Classroom will be used to inform students of any new assessment task or other assignments.  The instructor will inform you of how to enroll in the Google Class 

ManageBac: 

Major assessments will be posted on ManageBac. Some written assessments will be required to be uploaded to Managebac. Such assessment pieces will have clear instructions and due dates/times.

HL/SL Distinction: 

The website distinguish which materials are for both HL and SL and which are for HL only, but do know there are some HL concepts SL students will be asked to cover as these materials will help them better understand certain SL concepts.
